How to Order a VPS and Access Your Server Print

  • 0

Welcome to Volt Serv. This article walks you through what happens after you place an order and how to log in to your new server for the first time.

1. Provisioning

As soon as your payment is confirmed, your VPS is created automatically. Most servers are ready in under 60 seconds. You will receive a welcome email the moment it is live.

2. Your login details

The welcome email contains everything you need:

  • Your server's IP address
  • The username (root on Linux, Administrator on Windows)
  • The initial password

You can also find these anytime in the Client Area under Services → My Services, then click your VPS to open its management panel.

3. Connect

How you connect depends on the operating system:

  • Linux: connect over SSH — see Connecting to Your Linux VPS via SSH.
  • Windows: connect over Remote Desktop — see Connecting to Your Windows VPS via RDP.
Important: change the default password immediately after your first login, and store it in a password manager. You can generate a strong one with our password generator.

That is it — your server is ready to use. If anything looks wrong with your order, open a ticket and our team will sort it out 24/7.
