Connecting to Your Windows VPS via RDP Print

  • 0

Windows VPS plans are accessed using Remote Desktop (RDP), which gives you a full Windows desktop over the network.

From Windows

  1. Open Remote Desktop Connection (press the Start key and type mstsc).
  2. Enter your server's IP address and click Connect.
  3. Sign in with the Administrator username and the password from your welcome email.
  4. If you see a certificate warning the first time, you can safely accept it.

From macOS

  1. Install Microsoft Remote Desktop (free) from the Mac App Store.
  2. Click Add PC, enter your server IP, and save.
  3. Double-click the PC and sign in with your Administrator credentials.

From a phone or tablet

Microsoft Remote Desktop is also available for iOS and Android, so you can manage your server on the go.

Cannot connect? RDP uses port 3389. Confirm the server is online in your Client Area and that port 3389 is reachable with our port checker. A reboot from the panel resolves most first-day issues.
